Apprenticeship school grows own talent
When we set up the Brown and Holmes’ Apprenticeship School, our aims were to grow our own talent and invest in the skills and training of local young people.
We’re pleased to announce that we’re continuing to be successful with this as three more of our apprenticeships have transferred into the main workshop. There they will further their learning as a member of our manufacturing team and spend time in each of the different sections so they become multi-skilled.
We also have two new starters in the Apprenticeship School, including Eve, who is our first ever female apprentice. Eve first visited Brown and Holmes on work experience and liked it so much that she applied to be an apprentice. Her ambition is to join the design department in years to come to use the knowledge she’s gaining to develop workholding solutions for our clients.
